1. Each year state education spending grows by a couple of percentage points. Current proposals to significantly increase it further would require higher taxes. Would you support bigger education spending increases if it meant that your income and property taxes would go up significantly?

2. Several Maryland counties refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement to detain and deport dangerous illegal immigrants. They are referred to as “Sanctuary Counties”. Do you support making these sanctuary policies illegal statewide?

3. Certain state education policies have limited the discipline authority of teachers and school administrators. This has led to unsafe, even violent situations in our local schools and hurt overall student performance. Would you support changes in law to restore authority to our teachers and administrators to manage classrooms and schools?

4. Maryland was recently ranked one of the worst states to retire in. Retirement income, including pensions, is considered taxable income. Should Maryland move to exempt all retirement income from taxation?
